Losing a loved one to combat half the world away must be the most devastating thing a mother, father, or spouse could possibly endure. Our responsibilities as citizens of this country require us to lend assistance where we can. In some small way, that is what we try to do. Mounted Medals Military medals represent concrete evidence of a service members bravery and accomplishments. The Marine Corps provides a complete set of service medals to the families, but these medals arrive individually, not mounted as they would be worn on a uniform. Remembering the Brave assists the Casualty Assistance Officers in ensuring these medals are mounted in accordance with the proper military regulations.Ceremonies The Armed Forces are steeped in tradition and formality. It is only fitting that similiar gravity be considered when honoring the families of the brave. A solemn evening of remembering the accomplishments and and lives of the brave is very important. We provide the forum in which the service members can honor the families with the dignified presentation of the mounted medals, as well as any posthumous awards and decorations.Healing The family of each service member is more than mother or father, husband or wife, brother or sister. Family also includes comrades-in-arms. Often times, the healing process requires all parts of the family be present. We provide transportation for military members who served with the honored brave to participate in the ceremony and help the families through this most difficult of times.
